Dave has served in full-time ministry for 30+ years. He is a husband, father, and pastor. But at heart, he’s a storyteller.
Dave has lived a reckless faith. He’s embraced the challenges of the Chicago and St Louis inner cities. He’s also ministered to murderers behind bars, worked with the homeless, and people struggling with addiction. And as an adoptive father of 5 multi-racial children, he believes in saying “yes” to God, no matter what.
Dave’s also a lover of people and an avid collector of friendships, even those who disagree with him….
“I’ve never won over an enemy, only friends. Therefore, I endeavor to make EVERYONE my friend.” – Dave
His ingenuity in reaching people has been highlighted in church strategist Ed Stetzer’s book Christians in the Age of Outrage, in articles for Theology Mix, and the Naples Daily News.
Dave has a Master of Divinity from Luther Rice Seminary in Lithonia, GA. He’s also a composer and classically-trained pianist. His music for the TLC series TRADING SPACES won a 2005 BMI award.
